WaterRower Rowing Machines

Designed in the mid '80s, Yale and US National Team Rower John Duke formed WaterRower Inc. in Rhode Island. Today, the American Headquarters continues to be based in Rhode Island, in the small coastal town of Warren.

The WaterRower’s unique WaterFlywheel design uses a specially formed paddle to cup the moving water, reduce slippage and produce an unrivalled simulation of the benefits of rowing. The rower works the muscle groups in proportion to their strength which optimizes exercise benefits while reducing the risk of injury. The amount of work you do is dependent on you, not on the machine.

Rowing is believed to be one of the best exercises for arthritis. WaterRower rowing machines move the joints through a full range of motion with minimal impact and no weight on the joints. The WaterRower rowing machine blends the tranquility of moving water, the warmth of wood, and the rhythm of motion. All of these qualities combine to provide a naturally pleasurable activity. The WaterRower is easy to use, relaxes the mind, and allows anyone to row regardless of age or fitness level. The rowing machine works the muscle groups in proportion to their strength, which optimizes exercise benefits while reducing the risk of injury. The amount of work you do is dependent on you, not on the machine.

The look of the WaterRower rowing machine is designed to be placed anywhere in your home because of its wood make. It also can be stored in an upright position no wider than a dining room chair which can be easily laid out for a quick indoor rowing exercise.
