Key Fitness Upgrades & Enhancements
New Cardio & Strength Equipment
In late 2024, Lenexa Rec Center introduced state-of-the-art cardio upgrades, installing Precor treadmills and ellipticals with wide touch screens that allow members to stream entertainment directly during workouts.
Expansive Fitness Floor
- The fitness floor features over 75 pieces of equipment, including TRUE recumbent bikes, Matrix ellipticals, Stages spin bikes, Precor treadmills, and Technogym steppers.
- Strength offerings include 4 squat racks, functional gear and selectorized machines.
Panoramic Indoor Track
- Encircling the fitness floor is a 1/6-mile indoor walking track offering 360° panoramic views, a daily-changing 5% grade option, and a flat bypass route.
Programs & Personalization
- The center offers free annual wellness assessments (ages 16+), including InBody body composition scans and cardiovascular and flexibility assessments. Additional assessments are available for a fee.
- Equipment orientations are included annually for adult members; youth aged 12–15 may access equipment upon completing orientation with a guardian.
